Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg in 1756 and later travelled extensively throughout Europe. His travels took him to southern countries where olive trees dominate the landscape. Mediterranean culture, with its markets, cuisine and olive oil, was part of everyday life in these regions.
