Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg in 1756 and later travelled extensively throughout Europe. His travels took him to southern countries where olive trees dominate the landscape. Mediterranean culture, with its markets, cuisine and olive oil, was part of everyday life in these regions.
Like the olive tree, which stands for stability and peace, Mozart's music also has a timeless and unifying effect. To this day, both olives and Mozart's works are an integral part of European culture.
